Re: navgem still has issue

If the software for whatever reason cannot get access to our server, be it your internet connection, ours, etc. it gives you that error message. It really is an incorrect message in stating that your passcode is likely incorrect. It should be modified to say something else like the connection droppe...

Updates 06/08/18

We have begun implementing the upgrades necessary for the site redesign. 1) Image creation is now handled differently. We used to premake all images, but this was at great expense to the overall server load. Now, the most popular maps are premade, and the rest are generated when the first user tries...

Re: F5 Satellite

Alright, we're back up. Sorry about the delay.

Satellite is now GOES-16 data and updates every 15 minutes on our servers.

Re: F5 Satellite

Yes... They shut down GOES-East and GOES 16 is now the new operational "GOES East", however the data is completely different. It's a binary format that needs to be decoded and made into a raster image for use in F5. This will take a little bit of work to get it to work with the existing F5 platform....

Re: F5 Radar Precipitation Type Color

We had that years ago, but determined that server load in doing that was not worth it... so we moved to a 3rd party radar product, which is what we have now -- that I can not easily modify. HOWEVER.... I have since re-developed a radar product that we use @ f5weather.com in which I do color type pre...

Re: Data Tables

There's no easy export option, unfortunately.
The closest thing would be to pull up a forecast sounding, text version, and then scroll down to the data you want...and I believe you should be able to highlight, copy and paste it into a spreadsheet.

Re: Favorites Malfunctioning

Also keep in mind if you have 'Auto Refresh' turned on and you're doing stuff, it could take over and redraw your current map while you're trying to do something.

Re: Favorites Malfunctioning

It should remember everything, including if it's a multiple layer or single layer map if it was created correctly and if it's able to write the contents to your hard drive properly. I know there is an issue on some machines that gives F5 some trouble due to permissions issues. The workaround in thos...

Re: Tropical Systems PRoblem

Sorry about that... I just checked and it's plotting at least 3 storms for me. Must have been an internet hiccup. I'll keep an eye on it, there may be a bug in the system somewhere, but for the time being, if it doesn't show anything, give it a couple minutes and try again. It's showing Irma for me ...

Re: Classical Style Contour Maps

Thanks for the suggestion. For the time being -- it's more work that what it might be worth -- but you can create the 'solid' color scales for contours, go into C:\F5\settings\map_options and save the .ini file of the map(s) you configured for contours, and save them to an alternative folder to pres...
